I would fight 20 of them Flying J old coots before taking on ONE Jenny Johnson. She was a wonderful lady but you had better beware if you cross her. She sure did keep Vic in line, but when she was not around he would let it be known that HE ruled the roost. We all knew better but it was still fun to hear him tell it.

Actually corn does NOT kill trout. While they cannot digest it....and there is no nutritional value for a trout, they do pass it.

I thought the same thing, but did some research here on the net last year because I got all over my buddy for fishing with corn. I said the SAME thing.....it KILLS them.........

Well, I was WRONG.......plenty of info on the web if you're interested in looking for it.

    Re: Flyfishermen vs. Rednecks

Now that is a good read. I've seen those same stares before. About 15 yrs ago my buddy and I were taking the boat out of the lake at the dam. I'm sure we got plenty of looks when they saw this old van dragging a boat out of the water that had more plywood in it than my house. Of course they had to see the license plate was from Ohio. It was all that van could do to drag that boat out of the water and up the ramp. My buddy decides to pull up to some guy that had just pulled his $40,000 bass boat with his $40,000 pick up truck and had me ask him if the guy had any luck. All we heard were crickets. The guy looked me right in the eye and said nothing. I guess he was intimidated by us Ohio boys comin down in our rebuilt boat. Maybe he got a look at the carpet on the ceiling of the van. Thats how they made them in the 70's you know. Maybe he thought we were out there making wakes and cutting people off. The problem with that theory is the motor on that boat couldn't push that heavy boat much past walking speed. All we are is good ole boys that like to fish and are desperate enough to ask a simple question. We didn't want to know what rock he caught a fish off of, we just wanted to talk fishing. Isn't that what it's all about? One other time we went to a well known river in Michigan. We had our rubber waders and orange tipped Wally World fly rods with spinning reels and were trying for trout, steelhead and salmon. You should have seen the looks from those guys! Before we left, the guy that managed the lodge came to our room to ask about the fishing. He had an empty Mt. Dew can and had backer juice dripping off his chin as he talked about the "better breed of people" up there. I'm not kidding. Thats what he said. Do you think he was makin fun of us? I wasn't offended, matter of fact I got a kick out of it.
