Carolina rig a half stick of dynamite around timber. That always seems to work there. I have managed to catch a few on works and cranks. Good luck man, that lake whips my tail on a regular basis!

Headed to Herrington with a buddy sunday or monday. I don't get to fish there much (I only have a small boat), but i've already learned it can be difficult to catch bass there. Anyone have any suggestions on where we should go or what we should look for in trying to get a pattern? We're gonna fish the evening and early night. Any wisdom would be GREATLY appreciated...thanks and good luck.

Fishing has been kinda slow there lately. Try a buzzbait and then gitzit or worm after dark. Usually mid lake up to Gwynn's Island is best this time of year.
Buzzbait and worms...any ideas on color choices for the plastics? I used to have some luck with tequila sunrise or red shad there....
As for the carolina rigged stick-o-dynamite...I'm gonna have to run over to Sportsman's Warehouse and see what they have....problem is I'm not very familiar with the lake...but it seems like timber is scarce.
Thanks for the knowledge!
bandit series crank just at dusk any where you can find shad jumping.
