Fishing with the Weekend Water Lice

We went fising today on Nolin for the first time since the Fishin.com tournament and WOW! We just gave up and rode the lake until about 8 pm when the lake went still. If we wouldn't have been burnt out we would have stayed till dark and maybe had a chance a catching some fish. This is the first summer that I have been down on the weekend that it was JAM PACKED with pleasure boaters. I have nothing against them (have been one myself years ago) but I would have never thought that with the gas prices that that many people could afford to burn the whole oil field on Nolin Lake. I can tell you this....I will make sure that we go at 4am from now on. I can't believe that no one has been hurt with all the tubes and "floaters" in the middle of the lake.

i fished it all night satrday,it amazes me how we get tickets for not having lights on while fishing but the nascar sounding bajas were running til almost midnight,without lights,as well as a couple pontoons...i am really suprised there aren't more accident...last year at red rock area there was a boat of drunks,i assume, skiing at 1 am,watching the skier with a spotlight,,

My lady friend asked me why I use waders, and leave my boat at home, its water lice.Till after labor day, its not worth the hassle to fight the heat, and be rockin and rolli from 8am till dusk.Let them have the lakes, I'll fish the river.There is no gas shortage, and I cant see why someone who pays almost 20,000 for a rig, is going to park it to save 10 bucks.I've seen water skiers at night on Lake cumberland, its a wierd world out there.

had alot of small ones,30-40 with 4 over 15,biggest was 18.5" probably 3.5lbs
