Anyone tried these???? Seems like they would work on suspended fish, im not talkin about hovering above a school and dropping them down vertically......how about casting them and ripping them off the bottom?

Yes, I have been messing around with them for a couple of months. Casting and popping them off the bottom have had the best results. They are actually kind of fun, the fish will knock the crap out of them. The biggest problem, is you lose a lot of fish. I have started to experiment with different hooks, but have not found the solution yet. One other thing, stay away from brush piles and stumps.

Try using the VMC David Fritts Sure Set Treble hook. You will have better hook ups.

Try using braid with a flocarbon leader of about 4-6 feet. You must keep presure on the fish to keep them from throwing the hooks. You are correct, they will knock the crap out of them.

what kind of knot do you reccomend for tying braid to flurocarbon?

Back to back uni-knot. The braid should have 7 wraps and the flocarbon 4. That has worked the best for me.

Try using a siwash hook,we use them for salmon off the piers in michigan or if you have spinnerbait trailer hooks they work too.
