I still say we should have an ADDITIONAL discussion board where we can mix it up some. Sure would be fun jockeying with some of these other 6 year olds on a board that's not G rated. I'll bet it would get a lot of hits.

I think we should change PL's handle to TD, (thread deleter). I can troll him into name calling easier than anyone I've ever come across. Easier to catch than a hungry blue gill.

Wow... that sounds rather authoritarian, or better yet paternal.

Although in the past I may have been rather forceful in defending my positions, never have I felt that I have been verbally abusive or demeaning to my fellow posters. If I have offended, hurt someone's feelings and/or made them sad, I apologize. With that being said, I do not apologize for the content of my posts. I have never started one of these fruitless discussion that do nothing more than go around and around in a never ending game one-ups-manship. I do post firm rebuttals to those opinions I feel are rubbish. Never have I been vulgar or hateful and always attempt to sway opinions through a thorough explanation of historical facts and ideas. It is not my fault if some on here see these retorts as attacks on their intellect or feel threatened by attacks on their worldview.

This must be said..... The vast majority of threads started in the "Off Topic" section are nothing more than attempts to sway those amongst us who are less informed to vote/think in a certain way. They are almost always leftist in tone and often have the smell of trolling or spamming. Any attempt to rebut these posts in a logical, insightful, well informed manner is met by a deluge of responses by the original poster or those of a similar political bent who feel that substance can be met with volume. The only thing I am guilty of is stating FACTS and pointing out the argumentative errors found in many of the "left of center" postings. A conservative voice must be heard on these matters and since those voices are few I sometimes feel it necessary to speak up. If not those of us who hold these values dear will soon find them stripped from us.

While I understand that your fear of liability in such a litigious society prohibits you from promoting a forum where true freedom of speech can thrive, I do ask that you loosen the rather stringent controls you have arbitrarily put in place. True, you are the owner, operator, and moderator of this business venture which gives you the right to control monitor and censor any material you deem unwanted, I urge you to allow, actually encourage, a spirited debate. As long as things do not get out of hand with vulgarities and threats of violence they should be allowed to be posted and read, if not for anything other than to show the character of those who promote certain ideological tenants. Simply calling someone a fool or pointing out the fallacy of their opinions in a tongue in cheek manner do not warrant stripping someone of their voice. Especially when others are unjustly silenced in the process. This is just my opinion, and again, I know its your property and you do have the right to say what goes and what doesn't.

One final thing... If my recent posts under the topic of the ".. Bush Economy" are the cause for the deletion of said thread I apologize. Not to those whose positions I attacked and, if I may say so, thoroughly disassembled, but to those whose posts who were inadvertantly deleted as a result. It was never my intent to silence your opinions even if we disagree on various maters. Please accept my most heartfelt apologies for any reckless actions on my part that may have resulted in having your freedom of speech infringed upon, even if it was in a small manner.

Don't worry mate I seldem ever read all your posts. They are so long. Now I can understand why most people skip my posts too. You and I must be the fast typers and we both tend to post very long posts.

Although I try to use more paragraphs that necessary to break my long essays up so that the are easier to read just in case someone has a large amount of free time and is so bored with life that take the time to sit down and actually read on my my long posts.

I am not saying this to be rude to you or anthing. It's just that I have so little time left after making one or two of my posts that I don't have time to read everyone else's posts.

Larry doesn't care what you say or how you post. He could care less really. I just talked to him on the phone about an hour ago. He was in town for business and I was talking to him on the phone after he got done. I was guiding him around the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife area. I told him how to get there and he found the map of the place and was looking around the area for a few minutes before he had to go back home to the Louisville, KY area. Actually he is from Georgetown, IN not Louisville, KY. He's a Hoosier now.

And believe me you didn't make Larry say anything he would not have said without you posting. That's how he is. If his post gets deleted he could care less. He already said what he has to day and most folks have read it long before it's deleted. LOL

The guys that run these forums have the say on what's left on their board and what's deleted. And they have programs that can ban people by either IP address or emails address or user name or number. But that's all they can do. They can't ban you if you get a new IP address, new email account or new user name.

I have been banned from one web site two times and I was back on the web site forum in less than 20 minutes after they attempted to ban me.

It's funny how the mods on crappie.com take things so seriously. LOL

They could learn a few things from the Fishin.com moderators.

Dave Stewart does a good job and he seems fair to me after all things are considered.

I probably have had a few posts deleted over the years. But it's not skin off my knees.

I'll try to send a link to you for a fishing forum that has a political forum that you can go to town with. If that's your thing. And best of all you can PL can go at it there to your's hearts content. I may even drop in there from time to time to post a few comments. Although I am not in there all that often. Just occasionally. Political comments are not really what I am into. Although I do find myself getting dragged into political threads on our off topic forum when I see things that I know are totally wrong and out of line being posted. But I will jump in and set the record straight.

hey moderator, what do you consider political? Its just common sense that the views expressed here, are in all liklyhood not going to change on vote.As far as I'm concerend go ahead knock yourself out delete all political posts on candidates. My mind was made up two years ago.
