    Angry Progressive Insurance....They don't rock!!!

After a month and a week of fighting with Progressive, they have told me that I'm S.O.L. on my broken boat trailer. "Wear and Tear" caused my trailer to break according to them. Yea right.... a 7 year old boat trailer breaks and it's because of "wear and tear."

Dave, I hope you don't move this post. I'm on here to give information to the fishing public and warn them about a fishing related problem. Several people that I have talked to in the last month have had the same problem with Progressive, and I'm letting everyone know so that they may be able to fix a problem before they have one.(This is all about boat insurance and equipment.)

If you have Progressive insurance I hope you'll read the rest of this.

Over the past month I have talked with over 11 people that had Progressive insurance and were turned down on their claim because of what Progressive called "wear and tear." That's just people I have talked to. Who knows how many other people were treated the same way.

Some were turned down when they hit something in the lake and ripped their lower units off. How in the world could that be the result of "wear and tear?"

I'm posting on here and several other sites to let everyone know how Progressive operates. I would hate for anyone else to have a problem and not be covered. I pay full coverage insurance on my boat, trailer, and equipment. Keep in mind that this is insurance I'm not require to have. I do it to cover me if there ever is a problem. Well, there is a problem, and the money I spent with progressive was totally wasted.

If you have Progressive, I suggest that you look into another company. There seems to be a very serious problem with getting them to help their paying customers. I got burned and I hope I can keep some of you guys from getting the shaft the same way myself and several others have.

"Wear and Tear," that's a clause in their policy that could cover them on anything that they insure. If you buy a brand new car and drive it from the lot to your home, you have just put some "wear and tear" on it. Sounds to me like and escape route they can use(and do)whenever needed.

Anyone who wants names of others that have been burned by Progressive, just let me know. I would be glad to share.

BUYER BEWARE........YOU MIGHT NOT GET WHAT YOU PAYED FOR:

    Thanks, and be careful.
