Hey.......State Farm Insurance is the BEST thing since apple pie.
THEY SIMPLY are FANTASTIC.
I just got off the phone, talking with the rep, and she had a couple questions about my Stradic 2000 reels.............I had 2 of the older models that were stolen. They cost about 130.00 I think but I may be wrong on that.......purchased a few years ago..........
She called saying they no longer make the 2000, and she could replace with a 2500 or 1000 FI model...........Now, this FI model is a $199.00 reel. I told her that would be fine.....
I also told her, that I thought Shimano had upped their Stratic models to a BETTER reel, and had introduced something in between the Symetre and Stratic. She said....."We want to REPLACE with what you had, even if it now costs more".
She also said they'd probably cut me a check minus my deductible for the rods, because they are having problems finding the G. Loomis through their reseller network.
I tell you...........if you don't have State Farm, you don't have NOTHING.

I got State Farm and happy with my agent 100%......
Yep, state farm agents get a little more free rein than other companies...gives an agent a better chance to do the right thing.. I have everything I own with them, and most likely always will.
My brother died recently in an auto accident. He had State Farm Insurance and they just went that extra mile to help us. I was surprised that, in addition to paying for the car, they kicked in an extra $2,500 from the medical part of his car insurance. He died instantly in the accident and didn't need medical care but it didn't matter. We had check in hand in about a month and they never once acted like they didn't want to pay. Yes, State Farm ROCKS!
I have also had good luck with State Farm.
It is kool when you get to use those " extra " things on your policy that you seem to pay and carry and think you will never use .......It is also good when you do something not real smart and dont get stuck for it.
If anybody needs a good State Farm agent, I know of a good one in Clarksville, IN.... Doug Fisher.. He is a pretty good guy because he's my dad!
I have them as well with everything I own and I couldn't be more satisified. I know what a bummer it is to have stuff stolen so it's great to see you get some relief on this.
Geobass, I guess we all have different experiences.
In 2003, my wife was t-boned by a guy at the intersection of Minors Lane and Outer Loop in Louisville. Guy ran the light and hit her on the passenger side. Totaled the car, they had to cut her out of the vehicle, luckily no long term issues.
The mini van that hit her was insured by State Farm, but the driver had only a learners permit and no licensed driver with him. State Farm paid us well and quickly so we were happy with the way we were treated.
Second that on Doug. He is my agent and has went to bat on several issues for me. Tell your dad Randy said hey ! Also tell him I know he didn't catch that big fish mounted on the wall of his office....lol
I wish I could say that it was actually me that caught it but if I did I would be lying!!! I always thought that the guide caught it and felt bad... Thanks Randy for the College support keep up the good work!!! haha.. What is your last name sir?
Glad I can help ! Last name is Kelly. Tell your dad and yourself if you guys want to fish KY lake he can come up and do an inspection on the RV and boat he has insured. They stay there year round. Good excuse to write off the expense for a fishing trip....lol
I posted a comment earlier on this thread and it was deleted. I was posting a situation that happened to me. Why would it get deleted?
