Just wandering what is done with the fish after weighin. Looks like they left the area in a big tank mounted on a trailer. Why not just release them on the spot, then no questions will be asked.
Sorry for the delay in posting.Busy day saturday here at store and had an archery shoot we sponsored on sunday.

Threadfin,
We release the fish in several different areas of the river .
We released sat. at river cliff at the bridge.
Why do we do this?
We want to avoid releasing to much at the ramp to scatter the fish and to avoid putting them in a busy area.
Also due to the amount of boat traffic at the ramp we want to avoid releasing them in a contaminated area.(engine exhaust, oil, fuel etc.) from boats .As you probably noticed the large cruiser trying to test out his engine while we were extracting our boats.
He had an oil slick comming from his boat.
Thank You for comming
Thanks for having the tournament,i guess that answers the ? about the fish,i was surprised when that truck left the area also.

yeah, we've had a few ask.Everyone is so use to seeing them dropped right at the ramp.I maybe think a little oddly but having a background in marine bio. makes me think more of the fish
There Is A 6 Fish Daily Limit And 12 Possesion Limit,if The Truck Leaves With Fish Loaded Then Rules Are Being Broken.
I take it you've never fished a tourney with an indoor weighin? Nor a tourney weighin with over 200 boats, launchings from multiple ramps? The KBF had an indoor weighin 3 miles from our ramp in 2002.
Tony Brown ,our commisioner is very well aware of our proceedures and approves.
We also provide all data to the KYDFW on information obtained from the tournement.
They are very well aware of our intentions.
This tournement and all tournaments we hold is for the beginner to the advanced angler so they can fish and have a little fun without all the hype.
Any proceeds (if any)gained are donated to Meade County JR. Bassmasters to help pay for transportation ,lodging etc.to help further our future bass fishers to represent our great state.
I not familiar with how your tourneys are ran, just going by the other posts that had been made. Thanks for the info.
no problem.
What is actually funny about the whole thing is look at the front page photo of this years fishing guide .
