Friday, I launched from Moutadier, and ran to Conoway Creek, and Falls Creek, and above Ponderosa looking for jumps. Mild fog that only would stop whiners. Did see some jumps.....about a whole six fish at a time....Big whoop. Fishing just plain bit the big one. Real calm, great scenery with the fog burned off by a hot sun. Really fun in the AM watching the 200 hp bass boats get passed by a 75hp pontoon in the fog. I don't think bass fisherman have a clue in the fog. Watch my lips......can you say COMPASS.
RE Friday nights CATFISHER trips. Going to Baltimore Striper fishing for the week of 4-8 August, but want to hit one right after that. Kind of agree the runs to the dam are fun but getting somewhat old. New Albany Water front ramp is for a pontooner just no fun. Would not mind a trip off Salt River Ramp,or Greenwood, or Brandenburg or for real sh_____s and grins, lets go out of Cox's park and who ever DOES NOT get their gas stolen or CATALYTIC CONVERTER stolen wins the fishing trip prize. Better yet, nobody brings boats, just empty trailers. We set the rigs in the paring lot with no boats, and sneak over in the shadows and drink beer and BS while we watch the assembled rigs. When the criminals show up looking for converters and gas, we give a prize to the member of our group who can knock a punk out with one punch......for a PA steel town boy......that REALLY sounds like fun.
