I LOVE night fishing Monroe.. I have a 8-8 Largemouth bass that I caught during a night tournament on Monroe a few years ago.... Some of the advantages of night fishing,(in my opinion) is LESS BOAT TRAFFIC and relief from the heat!! The bass also seem to be more active and "on the feed."

I have had the BEST success using a black spinnerbait and SLOW-ROLLING it from right against the bank back to the boat.. When a bass hits it... YOU WILL KNOW IT!!

I have also had pretty good results tossing a TD 624 TOUCHDOWN WORM wih a small sinker crimped right against the nose of the worm. I slow-roll the worm and as the worm is retrieved, the "bend" of the tail causes he worm to rotate and bass will GO CRAZY hittiing it..

ANY riprap bank or weedy shoreline can be productive!! I have fished from Cutright boat ramp ALL the way to the dam and caught fish during the night.. Usually, ANYPLACE you catch them during the daylight CAN be productive at night..

I also like to keep the floor of the boat as neat as possible so I won't fall over something in the restricted light available and if you have one, use a black light. KEEP YOUR LIFE JACKET ON IN CASE YOU FALL.. SAFETY COUNTS AFTER DARK AS WELL AS IN THE DAYLIGHT!!

Thanks for the help. Do you try and fish banks that have more water close by or does that not play a big factor in where you catch fish? Have you fished the slow side at night?

Sometimes deep water access can be helpful... I do fish the backs of the bays and mainlake points regularly.. If I know where a point has stumps. that is a key location many times.. You just have to have patience and by slow-rolling a spinnerbait or swimming that OUCHDOWM WORM, that allows me to cover more water THEN.... after I locate some fish, I will slow down and exas Rig or Carolina Rig soft plastics and fish it THOROUGHLY..

Sugar Creek and Ramp Creek are some of my favorite starting points but I have fished EVERYPLACE on the reservoir.
