Lake Merlin has some monster gills. Went in early June w/ a few buddies from work and we tore 'em up in 90 degree+ weather. When you enter off of highway 70, the far left of the lake has a nice cleared out spot that would be good for pop-up camper and there is a put-in spot right there. However, the put-ins are located near gas well heads so make sure you are at least 100 feet away if you wanna start a fire. We fillet about 60 gills that first evening but used a propane grill to do the cooking. When you enter Merlin off of 70, there is a nice small lake/big pond to the right that has some good gills in there as well.
