Just another point of view, my sister has many spanish speaking kids in her 4th grade class in Orlando Florida and there are some aweful spanish speaking kids in her class with the parents being worse. It gets tough on the rest of the kids because she has to spend more time with kids who should be able to communicate better. I don't have a problem with learning another language just don't shove it down our throats as it is being done now.
Want a "in your face lesson"? Go to south Florida (maybe even south Texas, Arizona, California) and see how many signs on the front of stores are written in spanish only. Down there you have Hispanic officials who naturally lean toward their voting base.
