Try small spinner baits and a shad rap just can't be beat....Even a mepps inline spinner works good.....What's the problem with putting in at Greenwood Ramp? It's one of the nicer ramps around Louisville.

No problem at all with Greenwood, Ive just never been to that part of the river so Im not sure how hazardous it is. If its safe for a noob Im all for it!

Yes the channel is marked rather clearly and that area holds some nice fish.....Upriver towards the discharges and down river towards Salt River....

Sounds like you need a chainsaw in your boat. Just remember to put the tree back accross the creek so no one else can get in behind you. Welcome to river bass boating.

Put in at Harrods Creek and fish your way back, the ramp at C.Q.. I have caught some nice fish in that creek. Steve usually charges $5.00 (in years past I have not used it this year) to launch at his ramp. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Harrods is the creek I normally fish wadeing but I took the boat up there last weekend and trees had it blocked a little past the marina by Hwy 42.

It is a very long creek and lots of good fishing all the way through it. from the mouth of the river to where you are talking about. Some parts are better than others but it is a very good creek.
