It's the only rock of that size that we saw all day and we both fell over it. Yep, the Dynamic Duo. We were blessed,No real big accidents.
Done that as well down there! After falling in I said heck with it and just fished up to my waist for the rest of the trip. Wasn't that bad after I got numb but I couldn't tighten my belt for a few days because of some lumps that seemed to have gotton up there. They disappeared after I warmed up!

When I fell in I could sing a WHOLE LOT higher than ever before...that's what I get for stealing a man's productive fishing spot! Ole' Jarhead about laughed his butt off when he saw me trip over the same rock...I'm sure I'll do something else real stupid on the next trip too!

Re: Another tale from the Cumberland River

I was fishing a black bag tournament at barren several years ago. Early march, water temp about 45degrees. We were putting in at state dock, three wide, 100+ boats. My partner and I untie the rig (or atleast I untied my side) he backs me in, taps the brakes and you generally float right off! Well you do float right off if both the rear tie downs are off, he stuck the plug in, and removed the transom saver but forgot the tie strap. When he taped the brakes, the boat came off the trailer, completely sideways, and had just about the hole ramp blocked. We happened to be in the middle lane. Well I had to lay down on the back deck to my shoulders in that COLD water and get the strap off! What a Day!
