Check out the new Honda Clarity Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered Car that's being tested in California right now.

Do a google search for Honda or go to the www.honda.com web site and search for the hydrogen fuel cell car. http://automobiles.honda.com/fcx-clarity/

I was checking it out the other day. Honda even has a home hydrogen fueling station that they are testing. They use solar panels on the roof and natural gas to make hydrogen. The hydrogen is used in the fuel cell power unit to produce electricity. Excess Hydrogen Gas can be stored and pumped into the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered Vehicles.

The Clarity can go for 280 miles on one filling of Hydrogen.

And the exhaust is nothing but WATER VAPOR.

There is not pollution from this entire system. Other than the pollution that comes from finding, refining and shipping the natural gas to our homes. But natural gas is the cleanest form of fossil fuel that there is.

I would predict that this system will take over oil as a power source for the world in the next 25 years. And as they use Nano technology to improve the efficiency of solar panels they will become more popular and less expensive as they are sold to the masses.

Right now German is making and selling Submarines that can stay underwater for a month and travel all the way across the Atlantic Ocean from Europe to our East Coast using only Hydrogen Fuel Cells to power the submarines. They are the submarines of the 21 st century. They can hide like a hole in the ocean from our navy and are quieter than the new Virgina Class Nuclear Attack Submarines that our US navy is using.

If hydrogen fuel cells can power submarines then they can also power buses, trains and trucks as well.

quote=thebassman30;337387]I spend $500 a month in gas for my business so It's got me thinking. Plus, how can you tow anything serious with a 30 mpg vehicle unless you do something like this?

Total cost is <$200 + time. He's not a mechanic, but a system adminstrator (computer geek) with a long commute.

He's now looking at improving the design with lots of other suggestions on the web and then he's going to convert all other vehicles, his boat and his lawn mower. In fact, he thinks he can run his lawn mower completely on hydrogen.

I recently read where some guy let his car idle for 3 days solid on this exact system. The addition of Hydrogen to the combustion chamber makes your car run more efficiently, run cooler and with more HP than regular.....like I said...I thought it to be a hoax and I'm anxious to see how it does with some time on it. However, people have been doing this for years...just no one I know.[/quote]
