    Don:
The Evansville Courier did a story on this area not too long ago.

    It's NE of Lynville, IN

I have not been there but Channel 7 did a story on this area last night. Or was that Friday night? Anyway it's open to offroad 4 wheelers now.

I heard that there are no launch ramps and that to fish these lakes you have to walk it. But that was before it offically opened to the public.

One the Channel 7 news cast they showed a couple of guys riding thier offroad four wheelers along what appeared to be a gravel road. They said that the trails are marked with signs.

I'll have to get my maps out to figure out exactly where it's located for sure.

I would bet that bassmanic or one of the other guys that fished that area this past year will know which roads to take to get there.

Highway 68 seems to come to mind but I an just going on my rough memory with that number.

Not sure your bass boat will work up there. But if you want to go hunting up there it may be a good spot to hunt.

You can probably call Sugar Ridge and ask someone up there.

    Re: Inter-lake

    Guys ,
The Inter-lake area web site is in one of my other postings but the big pit is right off of Hwy 68 . Easiest way is to take I-64 to the Lynnville exit , turn right { east } on 68 and go till you pass Eby road , its not much futher . The area will be on the left { north } side of 68 and the DNR has a nice gravel road with big white DNR signs on each side of it . It goes up a steep hill and then down - we put the boat in were a cove of the big pit comes up to the road . A lady on a 4-wheeler was riding around helping people and was very nice . It would be great if the state dumped some gravel so you can at least hand load the boat out of the dirt . Plus some nimrod had burnt a fire right where you back the truck to the water . The Humminbird showed the pit at 27-30 ft deep running 80dg . It got shallower at the south end with some wood in the water . We drove to the back of the area to look for other pits but it was to crowded with tons of Jeeps , dirt bikes & 4-wheelers so we left . When we get some wet weather that back end is going to be a mess with all those 4 wheel drive rutting the roads up . We used to fish some nice pits off Eby road until 4 wheelers got in there and rutted it up so bad you needed a tractor to get back there . Plus all the trash people left behind didnt help . Lets hope the treat this place a little better .

Thanks guys for the information. I think I know where it is now. If it's where I think it is you can get just a glimpse of it from the interstate......
