I just talked to Woody and he sounded much better than yesterday. He said that today is the first day that the pain has let up a little. He talked to the surgeon today and found out what all he had to do to get to go home. It looks like if all goes well he may get to leave by the end of the weekend or early next week. He said he is finally feeling like talking to people if they want to come by or call. He's at UK room 878. If I hear anything else I'll pass it on. Cliff

be sure to give ol elwood my best. glad to hear the surgery went well and hopefully for the last time. i plan on trying to get around to see as soon as he feels up to it. pass on my regards to his family as well, if there's anything i can do to help out just let me know.

Then today came:

I had a MAJOR setback this morning when a 30 minute wound vac change ended up taking 5 hours, 5 people and more pain today than the day after surgery. Puked for the first time tonight and that was no fun still have not had a bowel movement since last Wednesday and major setback indeed. They were actuall going to send me home tonight at the start of the day but now it is Friday at the least. Some guys get all the luck and I certainly fall into that catagory, BAD LUCK CATAGORY.

I'll call you back today....I guess I'll just try around 3 or so in the afternoon since your schedule is so jacked. I'm glad you feel good enough post. I can't imagine the pain your enduring. I thought about you all day yesterday. I'm praying for you bro.

Hey Guys,
I've been talking with Elwood the last couple days and he's really struggling.

He's home now and recovering, but it is grueling. He can't eat very much because of all the pressure being put on his stomach from the sponge vacs that are cleaning his wounds. He's weak, throwing up and needs our prayers. He's on a crazy amount of medication and I'm not sure where he's getting his nutrition from?

Please pray for his complete recovery and for his family.
