    DNC

Watched the presentation and Michelle Obama's speech last night. Pretty well done, misted up and darned near broke down several times. IMO she accomplished her goal to soften herself for America. Not much substance, but a beautifully choreographed performance nonetheless.

Also heard that Bill Clinton said "One could argue nobody is ever really ready for the presidency" (paraphrased) when asked if BO was experienced enough for the job. An artful dodger ole Willy. Best line since asking the grand jury to define the word is.

Wow 0-2. Two nights down and the convention is a joke. They can change America????

Thanks Nancy for crushing the economy and raising gas prices.

Somebody surgically removed the joke I attached to this thread, guess it was over the magic line. Wonder which part caused the mod to whip out the exacto knife?

Fished Barren last night, but caught most of Hillary's speech on the radio driving home. She rehashed the same old Dem agenda, but I have to hand it to her, it was delivered impressively. She also had an admirable stab at convincing her supporters to vote for BO. As conservative I'm glad she didn't get the Dem nomination for either office, the woman is a formidable politician.

She sure is and no dummy either. Wouldn't want her as President but I'd sure have her over Hussein.

    Re: DNC

I think the convention is accomplishing it's purpose - to unify the party. The bad thing I have observed from the convention is Mitt Romney running his big trap - talk about a flip-flopper -He has changed his views so many times, I am not sure he knows what he believes in. Hillary gave a good one - even Bill was proud of that one.

If the Dem's can bring the party together, it is all over for the Republicans. I think the majority of Americans (at least the smart ones) are tired of the way things have been handled over the past 8 years - and are ready for some CHANGE.

I can say I like McCain over the majority of the GOP politicicians - at least the old McCain - before he became a Bush puppet. Anything will be an improvement over our current situation.

    Re: DNC

You know I keep hereing the liberal democrats say McCain is a Bush puppet? However of all the Repubs on capital hill he has probably went agaist Bush more than any other Senator in the Republican party. I really don't see that in him and his voting record shows it. That is one of the main reasons alot of the GOP can't stand him is because he isn't afraid to go against the grain. Watch the Dem National convention closely, talk about puppets, OMG. what's up next a 70's love in and free LSD for all. How did you all like that hitman sitting beside Slick Willy last night, lol. McCain will win Obama is loosing ground daily.

    Re: DNC

If you read my post DH I never said conservatives were any less intelligent than liberals. I just inferred that any intelligent american is not satisfied with our current administration and the direction that they have guided our country. Any change in administration now is welcome. Next time I will add some illustrations so you can better understand what I am trying to say. That way you won't immediately jump to conclusions based on your own mis-interpretation of my post. Maybe that will save you the effort of writing an entire page post that ammounts to what I just flushed down the toilet - actually your post would have required a double flush and some spray.

    Re: DNC

Good idea draw some pictures next time so I can understand you better. You "inferred" that unless you vote for CHANGE (thinly disguised codespeak for Barack Obama, the most liberal candidate ever to run for President) you're not very smart. I know what you meant, and so do you. At least have the cajones to stand by what you say instead of backpedaling when confronted.

Now Col 'inferring' that my post is solid waste is not very nice. Next time you feel that mean streak coming on ask yourself WWBD. What Would Barack Do?

Triple flush brother and spray some CHANGE in the air while your at it.

    Ain't this fun?

    Re: DNC

Just finished watching tonight's DNC coverage. The slickster was good, very good. Bill Clinton may be shrewdest politician I've ever seen. My hat is off to him. I bet it'd be fun to have a beer or two and party with ole Willy.

Biden came off less impressive, but sincere and likeable. IMO he did an adequate job. He did make a little war talk which didn't go off so well in a convention center full Dems, but they seemed okay with it. Then again you could wrap a skunk in a suit, and those people would embrace it long as it came with the Obama package.

BO showed up and made few comments so he wouldn't be overshadowed by Clinton. It'll be interesting to see if his campaign gets the big bounce in the polls everyone is talking about.

Although we disagree on most things - this is still funny. Even us brainwashed Dem's have a sense of humor.

Glad we could share a laugh, I enjoy sparring with you. Our beliefs are vastly different, but we both like to fish.

Now Megyn Kelly, she's an example of hotness. Conservative and drop dead gorgeous. Laura Ingram? Hot...smokin hot. Michelle? Looks too much like Greta Van Sustern. Good looking woman, but hot? Time for that annual eye exam Col. To quote an old song...That big behind, it makes you blind.

I also noticed last night while the slick one was speaking that there was Bud Light on the table above and behind Hillary. Every time the camera would flash onto her, all I could see was that beer can. What relevance does this have? None I guess, just an observation, but I'm for sure sticking with Miller Lite now.
