    Guided trip on Patoka

I won a guided trip on Patoka Lake from Tims guide service. I went for a half a day on Monday. Had a great time and caught over a hundred crappie. About half of them were nice size. I normally bass fish but if I could catch crappie like that I would fish for them every time. I normally fish Nolin and Rough so it was nice to be some place different.

Tim Gibson can DEFINITELY put you on fish. He is really the only REAL guide on Patoka, and has been doing it for YEARS.

Glad you had a good time.............now SSSSSHHHHHHHH........Patoka doesn't have ANY decent crappie in it........they are all runts, and you should REALLY drive 4+ HOURS to KY or Barkley, if you want REAL crappie action

    Later,

    Geo

Uh, Geo, don't they have the Crappiethon there every year? Bunch of flooded standing timber....kind of resembles reelfoot lake and some others that hold nice crappie. Taylorsville is a nice crappie lake frankly.

If you want to stick them, head to Weiss in AL.
