3. We didn't need to be in Iraq in the first place and pulling out doesn't mean defeat, maybe you made a mistake by invading in the first place. I would take pulling out and it being called defeat......... even if it saved one soliders life and saying that if we pulled out then all the people that lost their lives fighting this war would be "wasted" is beyond belief to me. Listen to most of the people that have lost loved ones in the war and they will tell you about "wasted" lives. Oh yeah the Iraqis want us out also.

What if we pull out of Iraq and saved that 1 soldiers life, but the resulting chaos left behind resulted in the deaths of thousands of Iraqis? I think the Iraq war was a mistake, but I don't think it's very responsible to just cut and run and cause those people a lot of additional harm. I think it's our responsibility now to stay and get them as stable as possible.

I see where you are coming from but trying to get any middle east country stable is impossiable. They have been at war for hundreds of years and it will continue. We have lost over 4,000 soliders in this senseless war and I don't care to see anymore American soliders die.

I guess I was thinking of the "Country First" slogan when I typed that and who exactaly is going to kill all these Iraqis you speak of if we were to leave today?
