    Re: Sarah Palin

She is fantastic, but we need a man to lead us. That's not sexist...it's a biblical truth. I do like her position and approach... if it's true. However, ALL politicians for the most part are a joke. Romney was are best chance for a solid person in the office....remember to discount everything you hear in the media. Focus more on what your peers (people you respect) think about candidates, because unless we can get them on the water to really get to know them.....the media is going to jack it up.

Let's face it, McCain is crazy liberal on many issues, but he's pretty good on most moral/ethical situations. Finally, remember that this president gets to choose several seats on the Supreme Court so that is a huge deal. These decisions shape our society big time. Don't sweat it too much cuz the King of Kings has the final say.

She SEEMS nice enough but just wait until the Democrats finish digging through her life history. I hope that, if there's a skeleton in her closet, it doesn't turn out to be a whole cemetery.

Place a picture of her and one of McCain's wife side by side and, methink, the Missus McCain looks a bit "homely." Oops!

Yep they caught me off guard with this pick but I like it. I hope she is as good as she reads right now because the Dems will have a field day if they find something but then again if they try and abuse her it will upset the women out there who might still be on the fence. It will be lively for sure!

    Smile Re: Sarah Palin

The Dems trying to drag this VP canidate through the mud will be the worst thing they can do. The mud slinging will really tee off the women voters and they'll jump ship and vote for McCain and Palin just for getting them mad.... The Dems better walk on their tip toes around the subject of Palin and anything in her past....Besides, if there is any dirt on her, the people of Alaska already know about it most likely. Not much to her past if she became Gov. and has a great track record of being for the people.....

    McCain & Palin for 2008.....

Yep, Yep, almost like the shoe is on the other foot now. The Dems have to be as careful as the Reps were about Barry and his half race. Unless I'm wrong the Dems were the ones who kept throwing that race card out there including Barry himself.

    Re: Sarah Palin

I like her, don't get me wrong...she's hot in a "Tina Fey from SNL" kind of way...but I think the choice seems like a blatent pander to the disgruntled Hillary voters. If I was one of those Hillary supporters, I'd almost be offended. I really don't think that any of them are stupid enough to flip to a conservative republican candidate just because she doesn't have any nuts under her skirt. If that's the case, they were shopping for a candidate based on gender alone, and the issues had absolutely nothing to do with it. How in the world could a true Hillary supporter move to become a Palin supporter based on the issues?

I tend to be a "fence rider" on the issues. My Grandfather always told me that those too far to the left OR too far to the right are both in the dark, and I believe in that theory, but I do tend to hang a little further over the right side of that fence most times. I'll vote McCain/Palin, but I would be lying if I said it didn't concern me that a woman with zero experience in Washington, and not a great deal of public office experience in general, is one heartbeat away from becoming the leader of the free world. She may be able to handle it just fine...or she may be a lost ball in tall weeds...it's a gamble, because nobody really knows for sure.

Just saw the report on CNN that Palin's 17 year old daughter is knocked up...has been for 5 months...plans on marrying the Alaskan baby-daddy. I thought that was a wind gust from Gustav that I heard, but it was actually the collective sound of the Religious Right choking on their lunch. LOL Says that McCain knew about it before he picked her and that it has no bearing...(Which I agree with. Who cares?) Them releasing it now was much better than the Dems getting ahold of it first, IMO.

    Cue the dramatic music! DUN-DUN-DUUUUUUUUN.

Next we'll hear about how she was abducted by an alien in 1987, fathered a child with an Eskimo, went topless on a girls gone wild video, opened a sweatshop in Bangladesh, and founded a Siberian Husky sled-dog-fighting ring with Michael Vick's third cousin, twice removed, in Juneau.

    Fast times...

I say, enough with the dirt and bickering and the big pomp and circumstance...tell me (1) What you are going to do for the working American family, (2) How you plan on getting that plan through Congress, and (3) How you plan on paying for it. Tell me about your plans for the oil/energy crisis, the economy, and foreign affairs. That's all I really want to know.

    Brian,
I agree that it was a shot in the face of the Dems and I think everyone knows that (they should anyway) but I think Barry was the same thing. A direct shot in the face of the Reps saying.... whatcha gonna do now? His amount of experience concerns me more than Sarah Palin because he is just a Senator and of course is the Presidental Candidate as opposed to a V.P. with actual leadership in running a state. She dealt with performance and social issues with a state economy which is a better training ground than just showing up like Barry and voting Present instead of making an actual decision.

I like her even more than before after reading her Bio.
I wish a politician would really answer those questons you posted but they won't because it will polarize their voters.

Hey man any boat ownership withdrawls yet?? LOL.

    Re: Sarah Palin

True about Barry and his experience...I'm definitely not convinced that he has enough experience either. In fairness, I don't know that much about Palin yet. I know she was the mayor of a small town, then the governor of Alaska...and that she has had several private ventures...and that she's in the NRA, she fishes, she's pretty freakin fertile, she's married to the Lance Armstrong of Dog Sledding, she was Miss Alaska, and she's pretty hot...Babe-raham Lincoln...LOL McCain picked her for a reason. I need to take the time to read that bio.

And yes, I'm having boat ownership withdrawals real bad. Late at night, when it's quiet and everyone's gone to bed, I find myself quite aroused while surfing trackerboats.com and g3boats.com and tritonboats.com and lundboats.com...LOL!!!!

Ok i'm gonna stick my neck out here but i'm thinking Obama has 143 actual working days experience in the senate.

If thats the case i think his experience is pale in comparison to Palin's.
Over half of those days was voting present so not to alienate possible voters.

    McCain/Palin

I would like a 16'-17' flats boat with the galvanized trailer so I could trailer it to the coast to fish the flats and still enjoy it around here. No carpet means easy cleanup!
