    Kentucky Lake

Hey! Has anybody been doing any good on Ky Lake? I'm particularly interested in Cats, Stripes, Crappie, & Sauger. My dad has a trailer down there and he told me that nobody has been seeing any jumps this summer. Didn't know if anybody out there has been having any luck with Stripes lately. Me and Fish4food are planning on a few trips down there this fall, hoping to get in on some good fishing. We'll be fishing mainly around Johnathan Creek, Sugar Bay, & the canal. Hope to see some of you guys out on the water.

    Good fishin' and tight lines!
    Mike

Reports I have this week indicate good Blue Cat fishing on the old river channel, Whites only fair on river ledges with a few fish in the bays, some Crappie being taken over brush piles along old creek channels on main lake and some staging around the mouths of the bays on creek channels..have not heard anything on Sauger. Not sure who your dad is talking to but I have seen more White Bass jumps this summer than in a number of years here...they have slowed down recently but earlier in the summer they were everywhere.

Typically you will find the bass fishing very good in early November. Expect the bass to be schooling on baitfish on the flats in the backs of the creeks and bays. Topwater, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Of course a cold front can shut down or slow down your bite but that is always how it is when you are on dominating shallow patterns.

I still have the first weekend in November open and Wed Nov 5 open that week.
