Cast for Cash at Eagle Lake ?

Hey guys ,
I was at Buy-Low { Evansville } today and saw a sign on the Bush beer display that said something about a cast for cash at Eagle lake at the Llyod & I 164 on Sep. 20th . Said a $10,000 catfish ? Does anyone know anything about this ? For 10K I will diffently be there !

I found some info on the net about it. Other than that I haven't heard anything. I didn't register on the site to find out more, but here is the link if you are interested. It seems to be a wabx contest along with Busch Light...

Hit the web site and registered so I could enter the "contest" . It said they would mail more info - Ill let you guys know more when I get it .

i don't think you can just "enter". obviously you put in your entry sheet, but i believe your name must get drawn out of a hat and then you get to fish for the money. at least that is my understanding from 93.5 The Wolf. kind of funny though considering I live right next to Eagle Lake. the winning catfish won't be bigger than 8 or 9 pounds. if even that big.

Hey guys , fished the $10,000 catfish contest at Eagle Lake in Eville - all said and done only 3 tagged fish caught , myself and most around me didnt get anything . 10K fish wasnt caught but I heard they were going to draw between the tagged fish for it . Oh well there's always next year .

its actually an extremely good lake for fishing, although most people aren't allowed to fish it. the catfish there tend to bite more on artificial than live bait though, pretty weird.
