Reply With QuoteI was doing ok and getting better until Sunday the 14th when I started hurting more and my wound started smelling of infection. My home health nurse came Monday morning early to change my wound vac and the second she took it off she called 911 and had an ambulance on the way to the house to take me back to UK. My wound had busted open and was spitting out infection that was getting sucked up into the vac. It was not pretty. Spent last Mon thru Fri in UK and they had to put in a drain tube in behind my mesh because I have 2 pockets of infection, 1 on the outside of the mesh that was the one that busted open my wound again and another behind my mesh that had not busted out yet so they put in a tube and left it in to drain out the infection. I still have the tube in and it will stay in until next tuesday at least when I see the doc again. I was released Friday night and have been home since. Still lots of pain and lots of pills to be taken daily so we will have to sit and wait to see what happens next. First time I got on line in weeks or would have answered sooner.
