Lake Monroe

What are fish doing at Monroe. Are shad up shallow in the creeks and is there any grass up there this year since the lake was so high this Spring? I will be going to Monroe the first weekend in October so I just trying to plan ahead so I can catch some of those monster bass in that lake. I haven't fished Monroe since last spring. Thanks

I haven't been down there in a while but I don't think you will find much grass. It wasn't coming up real good this summer.

No grass this year, at least not two weeks ago. Went to some known grass areas and nothing, not even a few sprigs on the graph. It may come on late, but better hurry up.

Good job on big fish and first place Twiggy ( 5.99lbs ) fishing was tough they where caught but short ones

Fishing very good at Monroe this weekend, especially on Saturday. Lots of nice fish caught. Mostly in shallow water, at least for me.

I couldn't get one shallow. Caught all my fish deep. Looked like they should be shallow, I think you could have gottem good sunday evening. Good luck to the Hoosier Open guys..
