I'm very well qualified to comment on the working poor. My folks worked hard in an Alabama cotton mill, and we lived pretty much hand to mouth. They never asked for help from the government or expected it. And they sure as heck taught me taking other people's money was wrong. My first job was running drawing frames in that mill 4 hours after school everyday for $1.90 an hour. I've manged to stay alive and have knock on wood, never taken a cent from the government or felt rich people owed me a dime.
We already have a welfare system that provides financial aid and job training, but is temporary as it should be. Before it was reformed we had people who were second and third generation welfare recipients. The problem with government financial programs is they discourage the incentive to work. You get a job, and you lose your money.
We also already have a slew of programs to aid families with children.
You don't pay attention so hot, I've already given you my economic plan. Cut government spending to the bone, cut taxes to the bone, drastically cut back on government bureaucracy and nonsensical regulations, and let American workers and innovators take over. Simple. And as I've said before, proven to work.
Since I've been so accommodating, take few minutes and outline your wealth redistribution program for us.
