    Palin has the Libs SCARED!

Man, all I hear about on the news is Palin, Palin, Palin I think the Libs forgot who is running for President! She is tearing down the Liberal driveby media show all by herself. CNN, NY Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS all of them and more are after her story good and bad. What good has it done? Well McCain and Palin are taking the lead in almost every poll!! Gotta love those Libs! I think Hillary is loving it so she can prove once and for all that she was supposed to be the nominee. Not the teleprompter king.

Barry was the new fresh look (with blue lips I might add...thats for you mhall!) but Palin has burst on the scene and yes she has lipstick and she wears it well.

Oh yeah anyone know about Biden? Is he still running for VP? He has to feel real good with all the publicity he is getting. LOL

Yes she does have me scared. I am scared that people will buy into her and McCains bs and vote for them. The more I hear her speak, the more I get scared that people think she will be a good leader. A great politcal stunt is all she is, and more people every day are starting to realize this.

    Col,
What about McCain is BS? I would like to know what you see that I don't. Please don't say it's -4 more years of the same- that's Barry talk. What points can you make? Lets deal with taxes first. What is it you don't like about McCains tax plan?

Re: Palin has the Libs SCARED!

When McCain talks to one group he talks about major re-structuring of fundamental government programs. To another group he talks of turning these programs over to the private sector. Two completely different strategies.

The Bush philosophy of tax cuts for all to boost the economy has been proven to be a complete failure. Actually the last tax credits, put our economy in worse shape. No one wants higher taxes, however, if it will benefit our country, I am all for it. I see the shapes the schools are in, they are going to get any better without some significant funding - that money has to come from somewhere. Education is only one sector that I am more familiar with, so I apologize if I use that often, but it could be applied to all aspects of our country. Would I like to pay more in taxes - no. However, If it will boost the economy, make the dollar stronger on a global level, improve the success of all sectors of government programs, and eventually lead to better salaries across the board - bring it on.

Our Economy is crap. Spending billions on a weekly basis on the war (argue the wars purpose either way you want), while still planning to cut taxes does not make any sense. We either need a plan to withdraw from the war soon, or have a plan to generate more money from within our country. Or, if you want to see significant financial progress - why not do both.

I am not saying we are going to see miraculous results from Obama or complete devastation from McCain, however, on an economical side McCain does tend duplicate in theory what has been attempted and failed in the past.

McCain was once considered a "maverick" senator, often going against the grain, and I respect that. However, this was seen more often in the past than in the present. You can't spend that much time in Washington without devloping ties to special interest groups. Both sides have adopted the "change" philosophy for their campaign, and the reform is needed. I don't see McCain or Palin being near the catalyst for this reform as Obama. It just seems they are going to support conservative views at all cost. I hate to say it, Biden has made me sick hearing it - but with McCain we will be seeing more of the same.

McCain still thinks the econmy is "fundamentally strong" said so yesterday, so that right there should be enough to discredit anything he has to say about economics. By using the word fundamentally he thinks some if not most of what is in place now is working. Wrong

It is going to have to be fixed from the ground up and McCains plain is to patch it.

Like Col Forbin said I don't know that Obama's plan is a fix all solution but some change is needed or should atleast be given a chance.

    he went on to explain...

On Tuesday, he told CNN's "American Morning" that he meant American workers are "the fundamental strength" of the U.S. economy and that the country will rebound with their help.

"What I obviously was saying, and I believe, is the American workers, the most productive and the most innovative -- they are the fundamentals of our economy and the strength of it and the reason why we will rebound," he said.

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/16/campaign.wrap/index.html

He also said that reckless conduct on wallstreet is largely to blame for America's economical woes, so i dont believe he is clueless to what is going on in the economy.. but he could have chosen his words better.

Of course he's going to try and fix what he said yesterday (said it twice at two different rallies) just like any poltican would that was catching flack over something they said.

I thought he was going to take a stand on the AIG bailout because he said no to it orginally but now supports it, which is basically protecting the reckless conduct on Wall Street and of companies.
