    Off to the sate finals

Well, the time has finally come. I am leaving for the state finals at Mississenawa (spelling) in the morning. Trent Moore & Myself, both fishing for the New Washington Bass Anglers, are heading up to try for a place on the Indiana State Team.

I just want to wish all that are going & see this good luck & be safe.

No, this isn't Pork Chop. His real name is Nathan. He is a buddy of mine though.

Good Luck in the State finals. I used to fish the Top 8 at Rocky Point when I belonged to a club from Indiana. One of our club members made the State Team and went all the way to Minnesota for the last tournament that qualified for the Bass Masters Classic.

Rocky Point is extremely good striper fishing. fished it my whole life. although the biggest largemouth i've caught up around there and millstone is only around 6 lbs. nice crappie up there though.

Not well at all. Out of 118 anglers, the cut was 5 & some change. They took 12 anglers to the state team. It was horrible. I caught a bunch of shorts, no keepers at all. The winner had just a tad over 15, second had a tad over 11. Then it went down hill quick. Big bass for the tournament was 5 & some change. Although the fishing stunk, the weekend was a blast. I had 2 great boaters I was with, really nice guys (thanks Kris & Brent)(Boat 29 & 30). The guy I went up with was alot of fun (thanks Trent). The guys we hung around with all weekend were alot of fun also. I hope that I make it to the finals again sometime, it was an awesome experience, (although the fishing stunk), & a really well run tournament. The IBF just goes above & beyond on these. IMO
