Rough River

Going to Rough River. Has anyone heard what they are hitting on and how deep? Don't want to know areas or secret holes, just what techniques. Any help appreciated. Will post results on Sunday when I get back home.

JimDi, you are a little over anxious to expect that you will get a wonderful reply to your request in just 35 minutes, no matter how many people looked at it. It is possible that all 13 people that looked at your thread were wanting the same information that you are wanting and probably, since this is a week day, most of the viewing people have not been fsihing at Rough or anywhere else. Next time don't get your bowels in such an uproar in so short of time. I have put posts up here and had hundreds of views without any responses.

If you watch Fishin.com for any length of time (more than 35 minutes) you will find that there are many helpful and friendly people on the site but you have to give them a chance.

I have not been there in a while, but with the falling water temps, cool mornings, i would be throwing something on top of the water around the flats, and later in the day look for fish holding on shallow secondary points. Tie you on a buzzbait, dt6, and a red eye rattler, and you should catch something.

Grumpy... I was joking around. I thought no one would reply because of the crusade tourney. We fished it too and didn't get any keepers.

Tournament took 13.85lbs to win, 11lbs for second and went down to around 7-8lbs for 3rd and 4th. We had several big blowups on topwater, but no hook ups. All big blowups came on points with shad present on the surface. We also threw plastics and crankbaits. Could only manage about 15 dinks the whole day. Second time I went fishing this year. Need to get on the water more.
