    Re: Thieves!!!!

I had some gas come up missing one day so I decided to set out some bait for the punks. Two 5 gal cans with a little gas lots of sugar and water. Set them out by my storage shed on a Friday night. Needless to say there were some poor running 4 wheelers running around the neighborhood. And then no 4 wheelers for a while.

    Re: Thieves!!!!

We had our Church van parked in the back lot and they took some kids to a movie and noticed the fuel was low, as they started to gas up with 15 people onboard or around fuel started pouring out.
the theives could not get the gas out with a siphen hose so the cut the fill hose near the tank got the gas out and left.

This is a 1997 Dodge 15 passenger van this fill hose cost $275 plus the gas
they got! The State Tropper wanted to catch this one cause he had 15 cases of wanten endangerment. 13 Childeren,They will do time!!!
    Still out there stealing!

    Re: Thieves!!!!

I always kept 2 red ( supposed to be gas) 6 gallon cans full of diesel in the barn farthest from my house for tractor emergencies, anyway the neighbors had a couple teenage boys that went on a theiving spree year before last, they stole the 2 full cans,I know because a State Trooper drove back to their house and said they had over 50 gas cans laying around,he wouldn't let me go identify mine, but I still got the last laugh. The dumb--ses put the diesel in their two Honda ATVs which no longer run.
Nobody bothers much here in the country, but there is a rash in N Ky of people cutting catylatic convertors off of parked vehicles that set up high, and scrappers grabbing every hunk of metal they can find, including the copper out of homes.

This is a problem going on everywhere, not just in big cities. If you haven't been hit yet I would consider myself lucky. With the economy in the shape it is, meth problems EVERYWHERE, and other issues, it is getting worse all the time.

Jerry, sorry you got ripped off.

Know this is off subject, sort of. But do what I do, as much as I travel with the FOM Trail, I found that a Wireless Driveway Alarm is the ONLY way to go. Reaches 400 feet, even through the walls, wireless, and is very very sensitive. Alarm doesn't go off at motion detector, but believe me, you won't sleep through that thing if you keep the moniter in motel room, or bedroom at home for that matter. Just sit it in the floor of the boat, works off a 9V battery, and last for 4 months easily on one battery. And for less than 20 bucks to beat all. Go to ebay, and look for Driveway Alarm.

I got four of them, two for travel, and two for home. I keep one in the garage, one on the front porch.

    Check it out.

Man they got me back in 03 they took gas tank PFDs a new merc9.9 and set my boat adrift on the lake, We were camped directly above the boat and the perps used a bass boat to troll in and get away with all of this. The Sherriff and the State police both said the same exact thing" yep we could take you to the house these boys live and we would find a ton of stolen fishing gear, but motors they haul off to the TN border and store them at a uncles house. then they sell them in nashville or anywhere they want since they are not considered big ticket enough to track state to state, and the fishing gear they do have does not have serial numbers and a judge threw out our last case because a fisherman saying that is my reel is not enough there must be a serial number to prove it and the rightful owner has to produce a sales reciept with the number listed." How is that for bass ackward the crooks have possesion and it really is 9 tenths of the law. I now have motion senor lights all over our property and three dogs out side. one more little add on that did not cost much, but has worked great for me, a decent pellet rifle I file down the points and aim below the belt, we have 2 less theives on this block. both hit my pontoon outside my shop the lights came on the dogs barked and I had a clear line of sight, I got one on the left cheek(not the one that smiles) and the other turned as the second round got him between first and second base, I guess you could call it a line drive. I called the law and informed them of my actions and they said it must have been a small animal I fired the pellets at and since that was pest control it was legal. three days later our family doctor had to treat a drunk from county lock up seemed he had endured a rather painful trama to a very sensitive part of his body and was having trouble urinating due to the bruising. not quite as good as wacking a finger off with a dull knife but sort of satisfying at the same time. Those two now do their shopping on the other side of town. This is not a recomendation to commit violence. just an example of how motion sensors bright lights and a noisey dog along with a daisy can change life in a small town.

GREAT.........but what happens when the DRUNK SOB comes back and burns your house down for shooting him in the NAD-SACK..........

NOT WORTH IT.......You'd be better off BLOWING his dang head off, planting a gun and dragging him into the garage, or something.......

    Of course, I'm KIDDING..........something's GOT to give.....but I don't know WHAT.
