Col, luckily the 2nd Amendment wasnt just for hunting. Also the first guns werent deigned for hunting either...all guns were designed to kill people. Pretty much all guns used today in hunting have millitary roots. Take the Lever Action 30-30. Its probably one of the most popular hunting rifle today but 100 years ago it was used to tame the west.

My favorite example of why we should have to own these so called "assualt Rifles" are the LA riots. The photos of the Vietnamese (I **** at spelling and too lazy to loo it up) store owners sitting on their roofs protecting their property with AKs will always remind me of how important being well armed can be. If they hadnt they could have lost everything.
