Fished upper end today from 9-1. temps in the 76 range. banks with mild stain esp from heavy wind today. boated 14 with all of them being spots and 3 keepers - no big ones today. very easy and relaxing fishing. the spots are schooled and following the massive shad movements on the upper end. topwater early and then small swimbaits have been working well for me the last 2 days. fish are sporadically taking shaky head but they seem to prefer the 2 prior lures. colors, anything shad colored seemed to work today. they were not big but they were smoking the swimbaits. man is it fun to catch them with this technique or what! lake temps should continue to drop with lows in the 40s the next several nights. good luck and be careful.
