If it were me, I would have no problem adding a half a can of Sea Foam now and a full can next tank.
Walmart has Seafoam, usually cheaper there than anywhere i have found. Last I bought was $5.46/cn. It's $10 at most marinas.
As far as I know Sea Foam will not void the warranty. It was what was recommended to me as a winterizer for my 2000 Merc 200 EFI. I just make sure that I run it with my gas through the winter as a cleaner and stabilizer and have had no problems. It can be used on carbs,EFI and direct injected engines. Can be picked up at Wal-Mart for 7.54 a can. Sta-Bil is just that. A stabilizer. It keeps fuel fresh and takes care of any water in the gas, but doesn't have the cleaning agents of Sea Foam.
Seafoam from Wal-mart. Cheapest place I've found.
Seafoam in ALL my engines:Lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, etc.
Want to thank everybody for all the good info. Bought 2 cans of Sea Foam
and put a can in each tank and I could not believe the difference. I don't think
my boat has ever ran as great even right after a tune up. The boat would idle great,
start immediately when I turned the key and ran smooth as glass at 5500 rpms.
It made a believer out of me.
Thanks
