    Re: Debate??

Was not impressed with either on the debate. The mod could have done a better job but this was a joke, neither won outright, sure the dem's ays they won and the Repubs say they did, but what does it matter? Only thing that I can say is that the AMERICAN CITIZENS have not won anything. This country is in big trouble, and the bipartisan politics in DC is not helping anything, it really shows that they care, this bailout is serious business, the ceos and big greedy co's do not need the bailout it is us working class, tax paying, citizens that need help, give us the bailout money and we will bail the government out. But no the current admin wants to make sure his buddies are taking care of when he is gone, anyone ever heard of the Bush's shock doctrine? Corperate greed has lead to this mess, nothing more nothing less than pure ole greed, you christians does not the bible speak of greed and is it not a sin? And now we have friends bickerin how will be the best prez in nov, neither one. I am sure if McCain wins that if something happens to him Palin is in charge, give me a break, I saw posted earlier that if Obama was applying for Prez and filed out an app that he would not be hired, but some of you think Palin has the qualifcations to do so, just because she like guns and fishes and is a mom, does not make her president material, oh I forgot she can see Russia from Alaska. We as a whole have been screwed in this election as NEITHER party has the correct choice for someone to deal with the mess that we are in. Neither. The current admin has left a big mess and it will take more than 4yrs to straighten up, that is just fact. I am one not to favor one party as both have problems and BOTH are responsible for this mess. BOTH. The aruguing and fighting will not get anything done correctally. We are supposed to be the UNITED STATES not the DIVIDED STATES.

    Re: Debate??

It's sad and I guess I'm getting old because I don't remember any stand from Barry in the debate? He did alot of talking but nothing new just the same old stuff for 18 months now. I feel like Simon from American Idol....that was a good performance but easily forgettable.

So sure he has the talk down but I think his talk is just covering the Dem talking points. Well I guess it has to be because he has no experience in this arena...my bad.

    Re: Debate??

A lot of what you say is true Bobby, but you can't overlook the idealogical differences in the candidates, or the two parties for that matter. They are huge. Takes a mighty long arm to reach across an aisle that wide.

BO wants socialism with the government playing the role as primary care giver for us all, McCain wants to cut the government and let us take care of ourselves. The voters have to decide which one they want. Despite all the platitudes about hands across the aisle, that's what it comes down to. As McCain said, Obama's so far to the left of the aisle it's impossible to reach him.

The inescapable fact is Palin is more qualified to be President than Obama. Forget fishing, hunting, children, her looks, or anything else, she has been, and currently is a leader. She is a state governor, Obama's been a senator 4 months. After that he's been a presidential candidate, and media darling. That's it. End of argument.

Yes it's contentious and emotions are high, the role of the government in our lives is a big deal.

Kinda sounds like a step towards communism, doesnt it? Scary thought but i believe b.o. was raised around such believes. Plain and simple guys, obama may have the best answers, talk, charm, whatever.. when its all said and done i dont believe he has the best intentions for our country. I dont think he's honost. you can talk politics all you want but i know McCain loves our country. Barrack... not so sure

Yes we all agree of Obama's polished speakings. But I thought it would be nice to be able to pay attention more to what McCain had to say, without hearing "That's Not True" constantly in the background. They couldn't even keep the camera off Mr. Oprah while McCain was speaking because of his constant murmuring. Mccain has a reputation of losing his temper, I have to wonder if that was what big grin was pushing for.
As for the debate, I would have to agree it as a draw. Nothing more was brought to the surface that hadn't already been thrown out there. Basically, one is an experianced Veteran with strong morals and the other would best host a reality show on BET!

I love it how no one can debate this issue without bringing race into the equation - or dumb comments like "host a BET reality show"

Look up all of the things McCain said (I think it only happened 3 times during the debate) that Obama interrupted with "that is not true." Obama was dead on. McCain loves throwing out half-quotes.

"McCain has a history of losing his temper"

Yeah, thats what we all need in office - an old man with a temper problem!

Col if the truth could be told and it won't ever be told to the public, Barrack HUSSEIN Obama is three times the racist of anyone you have ever met. How can you think he's not when he sit in the front row cheering for Rev. Whitey Hater for 10 years. Read some of the quotes out of his book and tell me he doesn't harbor hate towards the caucasion race, and his wife really does. I like old grumpy guys with tempers, they are some of my favorite kinda people, hell I am one, LAMOL.

    Re: Debate??

Speaking of silly axed comments. Old man with a temper is right in the wheelhouse. Kinda like the pot calling the kettle black. (No racial intent, just an old saying.)

Better an experienced old man with a temper who's actually done something for his country than a self serving totally unqualified younger man with communist goals.

I agree that race should not be an issue. But at the moment, you can't watch sports, flip channels across the networks through BET, MTV or any other channel you want to mention, and who are there, pushing their influence to Gain support for Obama. You have your black athletes, rappers, and tv/movie personalities who are mainly black. And this does not appear to be a race issue? I guess the support behind Obama's so called "Change", is just being trendy.
I got my paycheck today and as I looked at it, that's when I asked myself how much more of it will be gone as I help pay for Obama's changes?

No since in trying to pursuade any of the Democratic followers who will vote for Obama. They have their blinders on for sure and can't see past his elequent style of the Gift of Gab. He's drawn in the people who think that his style of Change will be better than what they have now. Let the Government tell all the American Population how, when, where and what to do with their lives from the Election Date on if Obama wins..... They want someone to tell them how to live their lives and respond when the Government asks them to do something.

But I on the other hand and all the peeps who will be voting in our "NEXT" President John McCain have our blinders off and can see the writing on the wall. The inexperienced Senator from Illinois is nothing but full of Hot air. He talks the talk, but he will never be able to walk the walk like Mr. McCain is doing and will do after he's elected as the President of the United States.....

I'd bet my entire life savings on Mr. McCain winning the election come November.....That is if no crazy Democrat stooped so low as to kill him, just to win my money...but you just never know about money hungry peeps out there in this world....

Heck, one young man hired two low life's to kill his own mother so he could buy his girlfriend a boob job.....Know what I mean?.......

But I'm done talking on here about Obama and his chances to win the election...ain't never going to happen....Talk to you all after the election and John McCain becomes our President.....
