    Several million frye. I talked to Dan Carnahan about it and we were to get more as they became available. He said they would do a shock this month to check survival rate. I hear of one being caught now and then but have never seen or caught one myself. If it is true then there has to be some successful spawning going on.

    Just got this info this morning.

    We went out last week and the news is good. We got 36 that ranged in length from 6.2-9.6 inches. The catch rate was 18/electrofishing hour which is well above the 7/hour needed to call the stocking a success.

    why not introduce muskie? don't they love to eat on shad? and they have a hefty apetite

    I'd suspect their spawning requirements are similar to Northern Pike. Patoka didn't provide good spawning success for the pike.
