I have been waiting for someone to start a thread about last weeks debate. If Obama would have stunk up a debate as bad as McCain did, we would already be on the 3rd or 4th page. Obama addressed all of this during the first half of the debate - the half where he really showed McCain up.
I was even more surprised when he stood toe-to-toe with McCain on matters of National Security (McCains area of expertise). I was expecting Obama get it just as good as he gave the first half - but it seemed pretty balanced. I am not saying Obama got the best of him by any means over matters of national security, I just thought McCain would be a little better than he was.
McCain really needs to work on addressing the issues rather than putting down/condesending his opponent. A little eye contact would have been nice too.
Palin is going to struggle with Biden as well. I think Palin is a great at giving speeches, but not so great at responding to issues on the fly. I can't count how many times she has said "I'll get back to you on that." I think her inexperience in national level government and global politics is really going to show this week.
