    Bailout Bill

Now that the Senate passed this some of the garbage loaded into this Bill is becoming known. I thought this was a necessary bailout package? There are provisions for special interest groups packed into this. Things like tax breaks for Nascar track building, wooden arrow manufactures, movie producing and on and on. So what happened to dealing with this catastropic situation we are in? I'm learning that I am just as naive as the next guy. I feel that stuck it to us again and are telling us you will like it.

Now what will Nancy P. and her groupies attach to this Bill to get it passed? Alot of Senators has their chance of attaching PORK to this so they would vote for it so what about these other mental heavy weights?

I don't trust these guys and it makes me sick! Both MCCain and Barry voted for this. What happened to the no PORK policy of McCain? I knew Barry was a snake in the grass and I felt McCain was I guess I misunderstood. McCain mean't once he was President the no PORK policy was going to be in play...Oh I understand now....silly me.

This stuff is dirty and I don't understand this Bill and neither do these numbnuts that voted for it. I'm willing to bet that some of them didn't even read it, that just put their PORK in there.

Come on Don, don't you know that wool research money is going to save our economy. We're having a supposed crisis and they produce a 400+ page bill with the usual garbage attached. I don't see the government ever really changing long as the foxes are guarding the henhouse.

I'm so **** mad I could whip Hulk Hogan right now. I may not vote for anybody, this country is in the crapper. I now officially hate all politicians and I mean all of them. I think EVERY American should get together in a massive outpour of humanity and march to Washington and kick somebodies ass litterally. I'd like to smack the taste out of George Bush's mouth right now. Sorry for the rant guys but I haven't been this mad in a long long time. I'm done with all of these stupid idiot policrooks.

Well well welll the light is being seen, this is what the country needs.I agree with you Mark, maybe the people need to march on Washington and let them know are feelings, show them that we cannot and will not take this anymore. The current admin has done nothing but lie, cheat and allow cheating and coruption to run rampart in DC, while all their rich cronies get richer, ie; Chaney has Haliburton, who is making billions in IRAQ, Bush has his oil, the Dems have their social programs, all controling this country are controled by big corp's and fueled by greed. Bush has a legacy now, as the president who let this country fall and who let her down, in a time of need. But at least the rich and powerful will be ok as this bill seems to be for them and them only. Regan was right his trickle down theory failed as there were not enough holes in the seive to let it trickle down. The mega rich and their political cronies stopped up the holes. We as a country have been done wrong and this is a crime. They have manipulated and destroyed our system of goverenment, they have caused good people to suffer and lose all they have worked for,no more american dream, now a nightmare for many, while they have sat in their manisions, we have watched our homes be taking away, our leaders have failed us and hurt us, some beyond repair, all for greed and power. It is true the wealthest 1% rule the rest. Where did our DEMOCRACY go???????????????????

This bill is 100% proof positive that taxes are way too high in this country. If the government has this much extra money to play around with, we're being robbed. We should lower taxes across the board and let the politicians figure out how to live withing a tighter budget...like all of the citizens have been doing.

I'm disgusted too at the presence of ANY pork on this of all bills. Voting in favor of it is bad enough, but I can understand how someone could, as McCain said, "hold their nose and vote for it," because doing nothing is not an acceptable option. I think the real villains when it comes to the pork are those who had it put in there. I'd like to see a list of all of them, and see them all, regardless of party affiliation, voted out of office. And I don't think that list would be confined to "Nancy P. and her groupies," but would contain a lot of both Republicans and Democrats. I do know this much: Oregon Sens. Ron Wyden, a Democrat, and Gordon Smith, a Republican, were the initial sponsors of the arrow provision.

Yeah I don't know all of them but Shumer (D), Dodd (D) and Frank (D) all had a big part of it. The list is long and remember Dodd had that sweet deal (crook) from Countrywide. This whole thing was a Democrat business venture that hit the core of what the party is about. Being fair to all people under any circumstance, they gave so much money away and lied about it when asked about how the companies were doing. This stinks no doubt but there are ALOT of Dems who ran and pushed these companies into the ground all in the name of helping the poor and unfortunate.

    Re: Bailout Bill

I'm furious with the Republicans who went along with the bailout. I'm even more sick of, and disgusted with the federal government than usual.

The reason those who hang slabs of pork onto bills aren't "made famous" is they ALL do it. What supposedly was going to address the most important issue since the great depression gets turned into a 450 page bill laden with the usual garbage.

Mitch McConnell should be canned. Dodd, one of the guys most responsible for this crisis should be canned, then jailed. Mudd and Raines should have their millions repo'd and their heads and wrists placed in wooden stocks on Pennsylvania Ave. Barack Obama should have his sweetheart mortgage rate jacked up to 9% immediately.

Nancy Pelosi should have a gag like 'Hannibal' wears affixed to her skull with 4 inch deck screws.

Proof positive we sure as hell don't need even more corrupt and incompetent government. A vote for BO/Biden is a vote for more federal government, and is therefore undeniably foolish.

The Democrat party will have you believe lack of regulation in the Bush administration got us here. Meanwhile a trail a mile wide leads right back to their own party.

Every time any criticism of Obama gets close to hitting home, CNN plays the race card for him. Now the Commie News Network is trying to put a racial spin on his association with Ayers to deflect McCain's strategy of questioning his judgment. Disgusting.

    Re: Bailout Bill

Has anybody seen the DOW this morning?

The big $700 Billion bailout must be a real joke. The DOW falls below 10,000 for the first time in 4 years just now, despite the passage of the bailout on Friday...big sell-off of stocks, bank failures expected to rise...

So let me understand. We're all going to take it in the backside on our taxes to pay for this "bailout", yet the market is going to tank anyway? NICE.

Who in the hell did we bailout?

I call foul too, boys...I'm with you...
