I won't go into big details here, but I lost two anchors at Mcalpine on Tuesday. One time the anchor line was just floating free (no anchor). We thought it had cut on a rock. I retied with an anchor my buddy had just bought for my boat that same day. When we attempted to recover, the line snapped way to easily. Rotten nylon rope.

I'd love to be below Mcalpine lower gates if they ever shut it down and allow the river to "dry out". There must be 20 gazillion anchors there.

So, y'all check your anchor line for integrity.
