Lake Cumberland outdoors is the place to go on this side of the lake. I have stopped at Backwaters twice, and feel like I'm in a "Fly only type shop" asking for a can of corn and some power bait for Trout.
If you're not a tournament Bass fisherman they seem to ignore you in my opinion.
PRO V LE- I hear you, I feel this way to in the past, but saves me a little time If I stay on east end Waitsboro, Lee's ford, or Slate Branch. I remeber being exicited to see this store open up, but dosent have the "feel" to it. Have bought minnows there in past years, folks seem pretty friendly, but dont have munch in "other" fishing stuff, such as floating lights, air-stones, ect. With that big of a store I thought they would run sales, advertise and become the go to place, guess not!
Guys bill smith will get you anything you need and if he dont have it, he will do whatever it takes to get you what you need. he has helped me out alot and alot of people i know.
No minnows or shiners . Only live bait is worms and crickets
Bill Smith will see this thread. I'll call him tomorrow. Call the Somerset store for your complaints or request. He will do what he can to accommodate you.
Billy
I hope he does
