Hey guys live in Louisville in the Fairdale area. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to go fishing around here? I've been to a few of the public parks(Tom Wallace, Waverly) Wanted to know if anyone knew of any public ponds or if someone has a pond that wouldnt mind someone fishing for a few hours. Would really help thanks

Many neighborhoods have small lakes. I find them very entertaining. Floyds Fork as well
McNealy lake off of Smyrna, I think. It gets a lot of bank preasure. But with the cooler days, it aughta be turning on. It's an electric motor lake.
Miles Park - nicely mowed, has six ponds, one of which is very large and has trout stocked in it (Pond #4) - Pond 4 was actually stocked on Tuesday with 1,500 trout. I really like fishing the ponds, because they are all so close to each other and there's plenty of fish to catch. Haven't been in a while, but last I was there the grass was pretty thick - used a weightless lizard crawled slowly on top, it was a blast! Even caught a few trout on a rooster tail.

Another place that's a little different is the Falls of the Ohio. It's a great place to fish for sauger, whites, hybrids, and the occasional smallmouth! You just never know what you're going to catch!!!
I'd try Hard Rock Cafe, Saturday nights around 8 pm. Second best choice is the lobby of the Sealbach Hotel at about 2 am Sunday morning cause the ones that stagger in have rooms.
floyds fork and beargrass creek can be good with a little tube jig
cherokee park good spot intown for bluegill, bass, catfish also will be stocked on oct.15 with 2,000 trout, use rooster tail,or salmon eggs even corn works
