    Putting names with Faces (Catfishing)

To all you cat guys. I’m planning a trip for us all to get together to do some fishing and to put a face with some names. I would like to know of some dates that would work for you guys and how many people would be wanting to meet up down at Cannelton ****. We could all meet at the boat ramp in Hawesville Ky. I have 2 boats, could take out 4-5 people in my boats, if someone is willing to haul one of them down and need someone to run it. I was going to set up a bug tent on the beach down there and set up 2 or three grills. Maybe have a pot for the biggest fish caught that day or night. Let me know what you all think. I will be off the tug boat on the 15 of July. I would like to plan for the weekend of the 19th 20th. I think it would be a good time. Boat bum, River Rat, Lowerider, HurricanBob, BuckBassking would you all be able to help me out, I have about 13 rods and reels, all the hooks and sinkers. Would need some coolers, help getting bait, for those who need help getting bait and maybe a few more small items. [B]This would not be a tournament just a good time. If you have any questions or some advice my number is (270)307-7963

Dang that sounds like fun for sure...When you guys or whoever is around the Louisville area want to do something like this let me know. If god willing I'd like to try catching something big, but anything over 10 pounds is off limits due to my back...I'd have to pass the rod to someone else to fight....

If that works for evryone or if it fits in into everyones plan better then lets do it up there. River Rat knows that area very well. I thaught Cannelton would be good because you dont have to worry about shallow water. Im game for anywhere anytime. I guess we just need to work out the dates, then who will be in what boat and who all needs rods and stuff like that. What ramp would be a good place to meet up, good place to set up grill, tents, would we bring the wives or is this a guys day out. My wife catches bigger fish then me so I say leave them at home, LOL just joking well just the leave them at home statement. Do you all want to picth in for food or how do you want to do that?

Hey guys, this sounds like fun to me! I would like to come to this. I could bring something. I could bring my boat, but I don't know where the rocks are at McAlpine. Just let me know when and where, and what to bring. Dave

    Hey Chuck,
Hows the bait up there? Will it be hard to have 10 or so boats there. Are the rocks as bad as evryone says they are? Do you think it would be safe for all of us that never been in that area with boats? Want be any fun if someone gets hurt or screws up their boat!! If we do have it up there I say we make it a daytime trip. You know that area the best so want do you think?

MsgMills, Hey can you use one of them electric reels with a fighting belt, to fight one of those big cats or would that still be to much pressure on your back. Im sure between all of us we can rigg up some kind of fight chair with a rod holder. That would make the trip if we can get you hooked up on a 50 pouder or so. What do you think?

I do believe I should pass on trying one of those big fish, afraid the adrenalin would set in and I'd forget all about the bad back and hurt myself even worse. Heck I have just as much fun just watching the big fish being caught as well... I love to catch fish no matter if it's 2 inches long or 9.9 lbs...lol
