    Ray,

When do they start pulling water generally...........Most other lakes are already pretty close to pool. KY, Barkley, Patoka, etc, etc..........We're headed to KY this next weekend, but May head to Brookville over Halloween, if the fishing gets good.

I must admit, I've never been to Brookville, and can use any pointers.

    Thanks,

    Geo

George, if memory serves me correctly they would have started pulling by this weekend. This works pretty good @ B-Ville as it creates a little more current. Just pull a little farther out on the flats, or go parrallel (SP) to the banks with little ridges or drops on them.

I know a lot of people hate B-Ville but in the fall, I would put that lake up against any in the state for solid numbers and quality smallies. It's just knowing how to approach the lake and fish it properly.

So what would you do this weekend Ray? Although, the water will be cooler but the front would have passed, post front, blue bird sky.

I would still approach my morning the same way, buzz-bait or zara-spook. After the sun came out bright I would toss a 3/4 single blade spinner bait at about a mid range depth of 8-16ft. or a crank bait that would hit that depth and try and pick off the suspending fish. If the wind gets up I would hit the points again. This time of year post front watch for the balls of shad in the mouth of the creeks and toss a silver buddy below em. That's what I would do. It will be 3-4 days post front and they should be some what stabilized. I love this time of year over there and after this last weekend @ Geist that is probably where you will find me all winter until it gets iced over. Than i'll hit the river in the jet and get after the warm water discharge smallies.......
