    Green River Lake 10/14

Fished GRL today from 8:00 to 2:00. Several small KY's and blue gills. No other bass. Several others catching crappie. Fished the area to the south of site1 up to lone valley. Water temps 72........Graphed fish in the 25 to 32 ft range on main lake but could not get a bite......Does anyone else have luck on green and if so could you guide me in the right direction. I catch and release so you don't have to worry about me keeping all the fish.....I have been fishing now for 1 yr and get skunked every time. I know your supposed to enjoy the lake but when you skunk it up as much as I do its hard to have a good time....Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Today I used:
    1. Mepps Algia
    2. White marabou jig 1/16
    3. White MR. Twister on 1/16 jig
    4. White spinner bait, X-rap shad

Thumbs up Re: Green River Lake 10/14

I sometimes have success on either a Shad Rap in a shad color, tube jig in pearl and gray or a watermelon jig combo with a paca chunk craw in the same color. Don't have any specific spots, I just throw to the banks and drag the baits back to the boat.

#5 Jointed Shad Rap Fire Craw or a Junebug Chart. Tail 4" Slider worm on a slider snagless head. These baits produce good numbers in the 10" - 14" range with a few good fish from time to time. For Quality I would try a Watermelon Red Blaze hawg (Baby Brush Hogg) or a 5" slim Senko on a 3/16ozs shakey head hook in Watermelon or baby bass pattern. If ya want some spots PM me and dont let green get ya down it's a lake that can make any fisherman wonder if he can catch fish sometimes. I was 10th place going into day 2 of Greeen river bass club classic sunday and caught a grand total of 8 short fish and that was it.

had a pretty good bag of fish sunday...almost 13 pounds...stay on the main lake but go shallow....pitch to wood in 3 or 4 foot of water or less....thats where the best fish seem to be
