Is Sea Foam a stabilizer or is more like Yamaha Ring Free? Thanks for the help. Ryan.
Fuel injection cleaner. Once a season or as needed. Cleans your whole induction system....
Not a stabilizer...I picked some up at Auto Zone. Some guys say they run it through every other tank or so...I tend to think using it periodically a couple of times per year should be good enough. I guess it all depends on how much fuel you go through in a year.
It is a stabilizer, cleans carbs and fuel injection, cleans carbon build up, lubes upper cylinders, removes moisture, and works as an anti-gel. And this is just by adding it to the gas. My outboard is fuel injected and I always use it through the winter, and if I don't get a chance to get the boat out, it was recommended to me as a winterizer for my engine. If you have a carb engine you can use a spray bottle and go straight through the carb and clean it and often you will notice it idling smoother instantly. This is some great stuff. You can even add it into the crankcase of your vehicles and clean the oil ports, lifters, rings and etc.It can even be sprayed into your air intake system to clean things out there as well.
I use it religiously, but - BUT, sometimes when you first use it many guys say it will foul a set of plugs while breaking down the carbon, remember ....only at first then periodically add it and you will be happy, but if your motor runs a little funny after the first treatment just check your plugs.
Sea Foam is the greatest stuff ever!
I use it twice in the season - usually after the first tank of the season after storage, and then a second dose about half way through the season. It's main purpose is to keep your fuel system clean and free from carbon build up.
Now for storage, I use Sta-Bil...a must for winterization.
P.S. - Seam Foam works great in your vehicle too! Add it to the fuel and to the crankcase...the results are awesome!!!![]()
What about the product Lucas Oil makes that is just like Sea Foam. A guy at work said it is better than Sea Foam but before I use it I want to get some feed back. Thanks Ryan.
