Nolin Today

Went to Nolin today, caught 1 keeper, 1 slot, and about 6 dinks. Water temperature was about 70-72 degrees. Didnt see a whole lot of shad in the backs of creeks, and I dont think the bigger fish have moved back yet. All fish caught on spinnerbait, and Strike King crankbait, in the backs of creeks, shallow. Beautiful day, not a lot of boat traffic, fished from about 9:00 to 2:00.

I'm gonna guess that the fall bite is a little later than usual this year because of the warm weather pattern we've seen for the month of October.

i was there sat. crappie fishing,the shad are in the creeks,shad were up yesterday until 3:00 or so,wind and weather changed, and then they moved into the channels,crappie were fairly shallow until about 11,had some on float and tube,then they quit,ended up with 21 keeper crappie,1 cat,a big bluegill.caught alot of short crappie,10-14ft in 15-18ft of water,after 4 we didn't catch crap,and they were still there..caught 15-20 bass suspended in the timber,8-10ft,couple keepers mostly 8-10".big creeks,longfall,conoloway,dog have lots of shad,small pockets i usually do real well in now had no shad..but they were stacked on the points at the mouths..

I'm hoping next week, we have a tournament at Rough Sunday.
