Good point Geo, I can get mad enough to chew a 20 penny nail into but it only lasts about 10 to 20 minutes, lol. Opec is going to cut production a bunch coming up so expect gas to make a huge spike soon. I wonder why....Hmmmmmm.

No vent at ALL............This is one of the reasons I love this site over others........
Rarely do these discussions become ANGRY, if you know what I mean........people discuss, sometimes heated, but then we can post on the fishin boards, and info is still given out just as it should be..........
Again.........a GREAT reason to visit this versus MOST other sites.

Lets see, if you go after big oil through taxes and profit grab, what will the response be by big oil? I assume that one of two things will happen and maybe both. My relatives may lose their jobs, and the additional cost to the oil company will be passed on down the line. That is what all companies that provide a product do when their taxes and costs go up. So yes you might get a tax cut, but the cost of products will go up. Why is it ok for our leaders to say that a temporary tax cut on gas is a "gimmick", that is not their money it's mine. Why is that a gimmick? Why is it evil for a company to make millions and billions off of us but it's ok for our government to do it through taxes. Once they get it they wont give it back. What if the people looked at the government and said we are going after your profits. They would raise our taxes to make up the difference. I don't like paying higher prices, but I don't like my taxes going up either. Seems like we dont have a choice on either one. Of course our Government could just take over the oil companies like Venezuela did and cut the price. One last thing. I asked one of my relatives why there was such an oil problem. He said that the problem is we don't have enough refineries. The flow of oil is bottle necked because we don't have enough refineries. We haven't built a refinery since the 70's. Does that make sense. I'm done with the oil talk.
Businesses Don't Pay TAXES..............you think BIG OIL, Wal-Mart, Target, Sears, etc, etc, etc..........are going to absorb the 3% increase in corporate taxes that Obama is going to require.......
If you believe that brother..........I've got land...........PRIME land in a mangrove swamp to sell ya.......
ANY and ALL additional taxes will be passed on to you and I in higher prices......which will also put people out of work, slow the economy even more, and put us in MORE debt to CHINA, Saudi, Dubai, etc, etc........

Absolutely RIGHT about the refining capacity.........I have a buddy that works for an engineering company. They do refinery work, and he tells me ALL MAJOR refineries in this country are EXPANDING. You cannot build a new refinery, but if you have room to grow, they are doubling/tripling capacity.
I KNOW he worked on a refinery in Ashland, KY, and I believe he is now working on a MAJOR project up in the Detriot area.........
More capacity..............MORE, MORE, MORE......
