Why should one stoop so low as to dig up dirt? everyone has dirt and have some thing in their past they might want to forget about or not reminded about. No one is perfect. Dirt can be washed away, why bring it up, there are more important issues at this time than mudslinging and such. But it seems that is all that some want to hear and they disregard the issues.And why should I stoop so low as to disrepect another for the sake of an arugument or to make a MUTE point just to "belittle another".

Poor guy never realized that the websites I provided are NOT Wikipedia. It was from Dickipedia which is a spoof of Wikipedia.
It's sad to say but when a Republican dishes dirt on a Democrat, Republicans will believe it; and when a Democrat dishes the dirt on a Republican the Democrats will believe it. Sometimes it's the same lie but with a different name and nobody bothers to check the facts. Frankly, there is not one person on Fishin.com who has enough power to change another person's mind about how they will vote. Something has gone terribly wrong when a person become so obssessed with politics that they let it ruin their relationship with other people.
The "Off Topic" Board is no longer the upbeat, jovial, interesting board it once was where a little "ribbing" was expected, a joke was enjoyed, and friends prayed for friends in need.

Sure it is, I'll bet anyone on here would shake another members hand and really enjoy their company. It's just politics! I'm dead set against Barry but I would never let that interfere with a friendship or potential one.

Technically, the site you posted is called a WIKI site........utilizing technology developed by WIKI........Wikipedia is simply a type of WIKI site......
I KNEW is was not Wikipedia.......and I POINTED that out.
Frankly, there is not one person on Fishin.com who has enough power to change another person's mind about how they will vote. Something has gone terribly wrong when a person become so obssessed with politics that they let it ruin their relationship with other people.
And I'm not obsessed with politics.........RATHER, I'm obsessed with how the LEFT and the MEDIA has practically put a REALLY BAD candidate in the white house........It is a SAD, SAD day to see the likes of Obama as the BEST choice from the democratic side........
I'm not too happy with McCain either, but he is the better of two evils.

Most liberals and Dem's I've ran into cannot explain WHY the believe what they do. SURELY you CANNOT believe that SOCIAL WELFARE is the right value system for this great nation.

As a dem and a BARACK supporter, I will tel you my belives Geo, I am not trying to change a mans mind but also to inform and express my views, this is good that this site allows that, freedom is the reason for my belifes. I do not support all Social reforms as they need restructuring and reorganized, with time limits imposed on how long a person can receives some benifits. I am not in favor of gun control, I am no way a PETA member, I hunt, fish, farm etc,I work in social servicesand see alot of waste and miss management. But some of you say Barrack is a soclicalist, we are allready a semi socilist nation, ie, Socilal Security, Medicare, Retirement funds, What is really wrong with some form of socilalized health care, we workres would have more money if we did not have to pay for med costs, and always the subject of higher taxes, one question how can any pres not have to raise some taxes as WE ARE IN A HUGE DEFICET, we spend 10 BILLION a MONTH in IRAQ, how we gonnna pay for this with out some kind of tax increase, I hate taxes too, just got my ck and it makes me sick,but IT IS MY DUTY TO PAY TAXES, but I would like to see more for my contribution than what I see every day, spend it for the good of the cpuntry and to make this a better,safer, and MODERN country. And also unemployment is also a SOCILIST program, and a lot of you conservitives I know have at times used this program. That is why I am VOTING for BARRACK, it is time for a change, for new ideas, new plans, as it seems the way things are going now, the old ways are not working like they did several years ago. If we all think POSITIVE and stand behind whomever is elected and stand up as one nation things will only get better, it might not be in some of our lifetimes, but think about your children and your legacy's.

You're right about a HUGE Deficit.........A lot of that is due to government programs that DON'T work.........Deficits started when we CREATED welfare in the 60's..........don't get me started THERE.
At one time we were the wealthiest country in the WORLD. Now, we spend money on programs that are broken, have an energy policy that sends 300-700 billion dollars a year to countries that HATE US. Continually bail out businesses that should FAIL, have trade agreements that are not competitive.........the list goes on and on as to WHY we have a deficit.
ON IRAQ....well............yes we spend 10 billion a MONTH there......but you know what.....that is a DENT compared to other wars. Actually on a yearly basis, it is less than 1 % of GDP.

The house and Senate are currently in the hands of the democrats. For 2 years have have had a MAJORITY in the House and a simple MAJORITY in the senate.
Lets See:
* Nancy Pelosi has the WORSE approval record of ANY speaker. 9% approval
* Congress has the WORSE approval record EVER. something like 17% approval.
* Congress has not passed ANY serious legislation.
* Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid could not sway 4 VOTES to pass their spending bill.
* Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid could not sway 6 VOTES to pass their version of the bailout bill.
NO..........this is NOT the change we need.

My post what not about generating dirt, and I really chose some poor words.
Rather, it was to try to show LEGITIMATE reasons why I should vote for obama instead of McCain..........AND you know what........as I expected, NO ONE here supporting Obama could show me ONE SINGLE Legitimate reason.
Someone stated "republican enough said". Well, I can give about 10 THOUSAND 1 liners why not to vote for obama........
Like I said earlier.........SAYING I told you so in a few years may be a few years TOO LATE.
We're at a crossroads with our country, and in my view, we're headed for some serious SOCIAL REFORMS that will bankrupt this country.

This country is already BANKRUPT. the Chinese hold a MORTAGE on the US as well as OTHER COUNTRY'S that ABSOLUTY HATE us. 10 billon a mth, this has not hurt the economy,. Yes there is need for Social Reform and things need fixing, I would rather trust this country at this time to someone who has SET goals and visions rather that beat a dead horse, as Mcain will do, he will keep spending 10 BILLION a Month in IRAQ, and when you get 62 and need it the SOCIAL SECURITY MONEY THAT YOU and I have paid in will be GONE, so long medicare, and then he becomes senile or sick and Palin will NUKE RUSSIA or something, have you not payed attention to Palin, she and her husband are seperationits, they wanted Alaska to succed from the US, be their own little country. Anyway as I saw stated earlier," how could anyone be for BARRY. I honestally cannot see how anyone could be for McCain/PAlin, just my opinion.
