    use caution!

Anyone planning on using the state park ramp, be advised, if you dont have a 4X4, or fr5ont wheel drive, think about another ramp. I helped a guy and his buddy get his boat and trailer out of the water today, and left for hendricks creek. This is the lowest I have ever seen dale, so it looks like cumberland till next spring, anyone know the conditions at wisdom or wolf river resort?

the only parking for tow vehicles at wisdom is up on the hill but this time last year i would just park down at the bottom i mean i am sure if there was not alot of cars and you just ask them at the marina when u pay your launch fee.. tom hasn't said anything to me about it...

    Re: use caution!

I was down there at the state park about 2 weeks ago and There was one lane to the right ( or the left backing down to put the boat in the water). Anyway there was a little drop off but no problem and there was plenty ramp that I could see way down in the water. Has it dropped that much more???? Sure it was a little rough but I had no trouble. It was kinda of a tight squeeze though, you had to hug the little floatin dock to make sure you hit the ramp just right and not go over the other side.lol

Last week it wasn't bad, now there is drop off on the ramp before the waters edge, they moved the courtesy dock to the right, a 4x4 should hjave it easy, i got rid of mine, gas guzzler, now I'm trying to kick myself in the rear.I didn't know that wisdom charged a launch fee, already pay a fee at the corp ramps, and at grider, guess I'll pass on wisdom, principal,of the thing.

i personally dont care to pay a launch fee because i know that the money for the launch fee goes to the up keep for the ramp....

    Re: use caution!

well the lake has dropped about 1/2 - 1 foot more than the last time I was down there. That little drop was in the water when i went. So what your sayin is that there is still plenty ramp for the back tires of the vehicle go off that drop??? I have a 4x4 and just tryin to figure out where I can launch. I know last year hendricks was pretty rough to launch from. The year before that I used hendricks alot and was catchin fnf fish 50 yds from the dock. LOL talk about gettin to the lake and fishin and catchin quick. The only reason I done this is because shad started to boil and I casted in them and found smallies in with them. And from then on through the fnf season we caught ALOT of smallmouth out of hendricks. The one in the pic beside my name was right there at the houseboats. We had 3 off that little point at the no wake markers. Fish are ALWAYS on that point in the winter.

Ohh yea.... For those of you that want some good spots to fish in the winter... Hendricks creek is good and I dont mind to tell you that. Dad caught one a lil over 6 2 years ago and Last year I had THE BIGGEST smally I have ever had on in hendricks creek. Im telling you I COULD NOT TURN the fish. Got it under the boat once and seen brown and then she went deep again. This was all done with 15 mph winds and horrible conditions and I was using fnf. I will never forget that fish. IT was over 6 lbs but i didnt get that good of a look to guess higher. Will be fishin that one point for her again. I know she is there. That one day that is was horrible weather made her come a little to shallow. Just shallow enough to get ahold of my fnf jig.lol Maybe she will again. Oh yea if anyone catches a fish with a blue chart duck stacys stalkers fnf jig in its mouth... Tell me how much it weighed..lol
