    Smile almost there!

4 more days of this hooey, and it will time for all of us to maybe start looking at what was accomplished. Two yrs of campaignig by OB, phone calls up the ying yang at all times, and what will be accomplished? Many of us had our minds made up in december of last year.I didn't change anyones vote, and no one has changed mine. Gee 2 more yrs and itr starts all over again. Can we have a king?

I hear ya, I'm sick and tired of seeing all the commercials about this election, not to mention all the phone calls during the day and evening hours. I had to completely unhook my bedroom phone, so the calls didn't wake me up while sleeping.

I only have a cell so I have received zero politico phone calls. I'll be glad when the T.V. ads (mitch ad on right now) stop about these elections.

call the 1-800 number and get put on the do not call list. We have been on it for 3 years 1 call and the guy immediately hung up when I told him we were on it.

I may wrong here but I beleive the "Do Not Call List" does NOT apply to politicians. Yep, they voted themselves above the law.

I am on the do not call list and get calls also, It does not apply for "public intrest" groups apparentally, and probally most the calls are from some foregien country. Man just think of all the money all the canidates have pd out for this advertising, wish I could get that kind of sponsorship money. I could even start my own TV show, part outdoors show/part political forum, have all you on to "debait" the issues and then go hunting and fishing. You all game. lol lol lol

get the organiztion name or the individual if you can . they really inforce this if someone calls them about it . if you have caller ID save the number, minimum fine for calling without running the name and number thru a washer is $25,000.Fines for calling from a paid solicitor is substantially higher.

*Reminder: Even if your number is registered, companies with which you do business may continue to call you. So may charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors. Click Here for more information about the companies that may continue to call the numbers on the registry

Same here. I can't really see the point of a land line these days. The phone calls from candidates is just one more reason to go completely wireless in my opinion.

If it weren't for my Fax machine I'd do away with mine as well....Really on't know why we even have a land line these days anyway besides that reason....Got to talk to the Bill payer about this issue....

    Red face Re: almost there!

This is my second year on cell service, and I'll always keep my land line. Better reception, also dsl, and since its singular and paid for by son, I'll keep it. but we have too many dead zones for it to be my only communication source.Besides its far too costly for a klutz like me.Example, picture phone, dropped and ruined, good motorola soaked, and the one I have now, forgot where it was, needed to call myself to find it.
