    Tournament Angler, but I still manage to go crappie fishing 3 or 4 times a year for a break. I used to fish for what ever was bitting untill I fished my first tournament in Aug 2003, been die hard bass fisherman ever since.

    I'm a bass angler, but in the spring when those big shellcrackers and gills go on the bed I'm a fisherman to.

    Fisherman for sure. Been fishing like most people on here since I could hold a rod and reel. I'll fish for any species that is out there. Sure I fish bass tournaments but have fished Shad tournies (St. Johns River in Florida) as well. Doesn't matter to me. Salt or Fresh, Lake, Stream, Creek or Pond bring it on.

    Well, let me see, from march - Oct. I am an angler. I fish mostly & primarily for bass. In tournaments, with the kids, with the kids in tournaments. From Nov. - Feb. I am a fisherman, I like to catch those saugers down at the dam. So I guess I am about 60% angler & 40% fisherman.

    Well, fishhound, with the way you explained the difference anyway.

    LOL! You got that right! I'm ready! Been known to forget about the bass tournament and fish for the schooling whites or hybrids while convincing myself there is a big largemouth waaaay under the school.

    Im definutely just a fisherman.I like the tug of any fish whether its to eat or for fun or money im game.Fish that other people think are trash i have a blast catchin.
